Welcome!

Welcome! Please seat yourself. Feel free to relax and take in the ambiance of this historical place. It was created with just one thing in mind, to have a good time. Hope you will do just that!

The History of The Abandoned Luncheonette.

Feel free to start off your day here at the Luncheonette with a nice hot bowl of our own homemade Whole Oats while you wash it down with a nice cold glass of H2O. Or you may want to even spend your lunch and or dinner here at the Luncheonette. I recommend our specialty, the Our Kind of Soul platter. It is perfectly made with a small helping of 70's dance, a generous serving of 80's rock and roll and a dash of 90's new groove. All on a beautiful cut of blue eyed Philly Soul. Sit at one of the two corner booths here at the Luncheonette while you frequently look out the window at our beautiful Marigold Sky. You probably Can't Stop Dreaming while relaxing in our very comfortable booths as so many people have over the years. We have even been told that our Luncheonette has the right Phunk Shui. Don't forget to check out our jukebox over there but don't go over there Soul Alone, you may have some Private Eyes watching you as you hear Voices singing Sacred Songs. You may even feel as if you had a 1000 Miles of Life after visiting the jukebox! Along The Red Ledge of the counter there at the end where those two stools are you will probably be X-Static to know that that is where Daryl Hall and John Oates sat when they first opened this establishment back in 1973. That same area of the Luncheonette was featured in their Possession Obsession video from 1984. So... as you can see the Luncheonette is not far from the owners minds at any given time. It obviously has a sort of magnetism for them and many of our customers. We always invite you to enjoy our Big Bam Boom Fourth of July celebration where we have heard many Ooh Yeah's. Stop by during the Change Of Season's during the year or even feel free to visit us for our Home For Christmas festival. When all of our family gets together at the Luncheonette for great Christmas music by who else then Daryl Hall & John Oates (Of Course!). If you choose to leave the Luncheonette, please make sure you exit by the front entrance as you came in. We here at the Luncheonette take no responsibility if you do choose to leave out the back door and encounter the Beauty On A Back Street. When you do leave, remember these three things about the Luncheonette: Alway's, alway's, Do It For Love! It is never Bigger Than Both Of Us and when you leave there are No Goodbyes here at the Luncheonette.

New things coming around the corner!!!

Hello, one and all, just stopped by to inform you all that I have been working hard to incorporate new idea's into the Luncheonette! Here are just a few idea's roaming around in my head for the new and improved Luncheonette. First of all... will be announcing our locations nationwide you can visit while on the road(These are all fictional, but I thought it would make this place a bit more believable! 8-)). Also I  plan on updating the menu as well, and the history of this fine establishment. But I have to admit, I could have sworn I saved my notes on what improvements I was going to do to the Luncheonette, but somehow they have miraculously disappeared!!! Arrrgghh!!! I was able to remember a couple more additions to the Luncheonette. One being XBOX360 Video Game Reviews from an VERY below average player!(ME!) 8-), and new movies that I have seen reviewed. Send your friends this way to make the Luncheonette a fun place to see what is happening! Thanks!!! 8-)

Name That Song Lyric!

Here is the second Name That Song Lyric for you all to ponder:

Do you believe in hot cars, leather bars, or movie stars? Is that what's real?
Payin' dues, in Earth Shoes, Chicago blues, is that how you feel?
You can change, you can change, you can change, you can change
But you can't conceal, what's deep inside you
It's your game, it's your deal, it's your game, it's your deal

So...leave your guesses in the comments thread of this post...Good Luck!!! 8-)

P.S. Don't forget the first Name That Song Lyric post on February 19, 2011!!! No answers on that one yet!

Favorite song of the week!

Well here we go...the first installment of my Favorite Song Of The Week! I have to pick the obvious one for the first one...so the first Favorite song of the week is...you guessed it...Abandoned Luncheonette!(Of course! why wouldn't it be? Right?)

New idea's coming to the Luncheonette!

Hello all....I thought I'd try to add another idea to have people visit the Luncheonette. This new idea was given to me by my wonderful sister Juli(Thanks sis!) I really hope it gets more people to visit the blog and make it more fun to see what I have posted. Please feel free to leave me feedback on the posts to help me make it better, I love feedback(As long its good! 8-) Of course!)

So without further ado.... the new idea coming to the luncheonette is: Favorite song of the week!(I chose it this way due to the limited access I have right now to an internet based computer).

I hope you like this new idea I have added to the Luncheonette as I will also keep the Name That Song Lyric in hopes to get more people to visit the Luncheonette as I enjoy visiting it myself and adding updates about Daryl, John, the rest of the band, music in general, and my life.

Enjoy!

After watching this video many times, I just had to have this group come to the Luncheonette. After much persuasion and scheduling I was able to get them to come by for a performance. I give you Lady Antebellum and their hit: Hello World. Warning: This video will tug at your heartstrings as it did mine!

Royalty stops by the Luncheonette for a bite and more....

I was checking in on the Luncheonette today to see how everyone was and to my surprise Royalty decided to stop by!! Kind of ironic don't you think? With the recent wedding of Prince William and Kate? After a little persuasion by the partial-owner and the customers, he decided to grace us with a great performance. Here he is... Sir Paul McCartney and Wings.

A special troupe decided to stop by!

Hello one and all from the Luncheonette. I was stopping by and notice that a great traveling singing troupe stopped by the Luncheonette as I stopped in! This is my favorite troupe, and the movie was fantastic from where they originally performed this. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks a bunch!

Visiting the Luncheonette today.....

I thought I'd stop by the Luncheonette today... and looked who decided to stop by with a classic performance! Who else then Daryl & John (Of Course)! While watching you may notice two things.....1) Daryl is wearing the same Jacket he wore in the music video...and 2) T-Bone is sporting his Amish look for the show. I wonder if the Japanese knew what Amish people are???

Hall and Oates lyric TRIVIA!!

A light bulb moment(As Daryl once said!) just came to me!!!! To hopefully get more people to visit my blog, I am going to attempt to try trivia!!! Mostly lyric trivia from Daryl and John and of course other stuff from them as well! I will also throw in a curve ball every once in a while, so look out for it!! Here is the first (of hopefully, many!) Hall and Oates trivia!!! Enjoy!! I know I will posting it!!!!

Here is an easy one to start!

What Daryl Hall & John Oates song has this lyric?

"Think I'll spend eternity in the city
Let the carbon and monoxide choke my thoughts away
And pretty bodies help dissolve the memories
There can never be what she once was to me"

Please comment for your answer. Thanks, and have fun!!!
