Welcome!

Welcome! Please seat yourself. Feel free to relax and take in the ambiance of this historical place. It was created with just one thing in mind, to have a good time. Hope you will do just that!

The History of The Abandoned Luncheonette.

Feel free to start off your day here at the Luncheonette with a nice hot bowl of our own homemade Whole Oats while you wash it down with a nice cold glass of H2O. Or you may want to even spend your lunch and or dinner here at the Luncheonette. I recommend our specialty, the Our Kind of Soul platter. It is perfectly made with a small helping of 70's dance, a generous serving of 80's rock and roll and a dash of 90's new groove. All on a beautiful cut of blue eyed Philly Soul. Sit at one of the two corner booths here at the Luncheonette while you frequently look out the window at our beautiful Marigold Sky. You probably Can't Stop Dreaming while relaxing in our very comfortable booths as so many people have over the years. We have even been told that our Luncheonette has the right Phunk Shui. Don't forget to check out our jukebox over there but don't go over there Soul Alone, you may have some Private Eyes watching you as you hear Voices singing Sacred Songs. You may even feel as if you had a 1000 Miles of Life after visiting the jukebox! Along The Red Ledge of the counter there at the end where those two stools are you will probably be X-Static to know that that is where Daryl Hall and John Oates sat when they first opened this establishment back in 1973. That same area of the Luncheonette was featured in their Possession Obsession video from 1984. So... as you can see the Luncheonette is not far from the owners minds at any given time. It obviously has a sort of magnetism for them and many of our customers. We always invite you to enjoy our Big Bam Boom Fourth of July celebration where we have heard many Ooh Yeah's. Stop by during the Change Of Season's during the year or even feel free to visit us for our Home For Christmas festival. When all of our family gets together at the Luncheonette for great Christmas music by who else then Daryl Hall & John Oates (Of Course!). If you choose to leave the Luncheonette, please make sure you exit by the front entrance as you came in. We here at the Luncheonette take no responsibility if you do choose to leave out the back door and encounter the Beauty On A Back Street. When you do leave, remember these three things about the Luncheonette: Alway's, alway's, Do It For Love! It is never Bigger Than Both Of Us and when you leave there are No Goodbyes here at the Luncheonette.

Busy, Busy, Busy last two weeks!

Where do I begin. I guess at the beginning as they say. As I stated in my last post the party was a big success and then to go to another one this past weekend for Alan (Lori's Brother) Wow, what a weekend that was! That party was more ADULT oriented than mine. I liked it a lot as well as my own!

It has been (I think) 3 weeks since I actually posted and a lot has happened. I am attending SSCC once again, but it will probably be my last quarter there. They are not offering the classes I need at the times I need to graduate. So it is time to move on. Most likely to Wilmington College for the Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education.

I will be involved with SSCC's fall production in the theatre department once again, seeing as that is one of the classes I chose to take again. (I am allowed to take them 3 times each. Drama Practicum and Advanced Drama Practicum, for a total of 6!). We at the theatre department at SSCC this quarter are performing Bloody Poetry by Howard Brenton.

Unfortunately, I will not be on stage for this production seeing as I do not have the time that is needed to pertake in that part of the production. Plus there are only 6 roles available and I myself do not think I am one of the top 6 performers at SSCC right now. Long story, maybe I'll tell it to you all sometime. Therefore I have requested from Rainee Angles (The theatre department head) that I would like to do either backstage work or possible lights or sound. She is conducting the auditions as I type this up. So maybe I'll hear from her this evening when it is all said and done. Feel free to visit the official site of SSCC Theatre at http://www.sscctheatre.com/ to get information about the upcoming production. Feel free to look at our future production schedule. Heck, even check on pictures from our past productions which include me! I have been involved in 5 productions since attending SSCC and Bloody Poetry will be my 6th! If you do visit the site and want to know where pictures are of me or just my name and what I did during those said productions check out these past 5 productions I have been in: Larry Shue's The Nerd, Aurthur Miller's The Crucible, SSCC's 1st annual Theatre A.S.A.P., Joeseph Steins Fiddler On The Roof (I am not noted anywhere on this production, but I did help out the box office.), And the last one as of this writing An Evening With David Ives. Check 'em out they were all very good productions and the photo's are just as good.

It has now been two full weeks for 3 of my 5 fantasy football teams(The fourth and fifth teams were both created after week one. The fifth team I created was for me and a friend after the first week. So it is only one week into their (Yahoo.com's) schedule and there I am 0-1-0 on both teams. Got to get those teams on the the winning side here!). I am doing very good overall. My record after those two weeks for the other three teams is 4-2-0. That is a .666 win percentage. I like it! Just adjusted all my line-ups as I was writing this post and I think I have good line-ups for this coming third week in the NFL.

Also, if any of you have not been getting my e-mails but can get to this blog, I have changed my e-mail address. My old E-Mail address is: hallandoates@msn.com and my new e-mail address is hallandoates@dishmail.net. Please make a note of it! 8-)

The Labor Day Weekend, what a joy it was!

Hello to one and all. I would like to thank everyone that came out on Saturday and Sunday for my Birthday. I enjoyed it tremendously. Thanks again. I enjoyed the company and the gifts and the cake too. Thank you Lori! The party was Spiderman oriented seeing as I like Spiderman my wife chose that theme for the party. Cake, plates, napkins, tablecloth and yes of course gifts given in the Spiderman tradition. I loved it all. The guest list included: My sister Juli, my nephew and his girlfriend Jake and Megan. My brother-in-law his friends and ours, Alan, Christy, Rob, Chris, Amanda, and Carol. As well as my mother-in-law Carolyn. Then on Sunday afternoon my mother and her friend Stan came over to visit. Thanks to everyone once again. Then to top it all off I was able to watch the great fireworks presentation in downtown Cincinnati in the comfort of my home with my wife. What a great weekend!

It's now official as I stated in my earlier post the Degenerate Wolverine teams have been formed! The teams are at the following sites if you want to keep personal tabs on them yourself: CBSSportsline.com, FOXSports.com, ESPN.go.com, and Yahoo.com. So feel free to root my teams on to victory. Hopefully one of these teams will win it all this year!!

Also I will be attempting to create Fantasy Hockey teams as well. I will update you all on that as the time gets closer. The team in hockey to beat this year is the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (Of course!).

The Past Week

It was a very productive weekend for me and my nephew and his friend Trevor a.k.a. Goat Boy. My nephew came over this weekend and we three put up my shed! Yay!
On a sad note, this past week my dad lost another dog to a careless driver on his road. Dad lost two dog's on the road he lives on to people driving too fast for it. It is only worthy of 25 m.p.h. but people go about twice as fast as 25 m.p.h. on it!
Well, will make this short seeing as my wife has to make phone calls for her big birthday party for ..um...me. This coming weekend. Oh boy! 8-/

Busy week.

Hello to one and all once again. I'm sitting here at the Luncheonette today having my "imaginary cola" whilst I tell you about my busy week. Been trying to get Dad's lawn tractor (that he is letting me borrow) to work correctly again. Had issues with it. I could not get the blades engaged then I couldn't get it to start after cleaning the deck of all the excess grass. Which reminds me, I'll have to do that again before I start her up today to use her (Ugh!). Well, she is running good now (Knocking on forhead!) hopefully she'll stay that way!
Also, Dad want's me to get my shed up a.s.a.p. so I can get my items out of his and into mine. He will be assisting me on this endevor tommorrow (Sunday) which I perfer that he does not. But seeing as no one want's to assist me on this and like I stated he wants it up a.s.a.p. This is the only way as of right now.

Work has been busy, I am responsible for filling five accounts as of this writing. Those accounts are, in no particular order: Film Movement, LaRosa's, Johnson Diversey, Core Naturals, and Repelle. I used to be responsible for P&G's Bella & Birch, but they moved to a new warehouse and they have moved all of their product over to their new warehouse so they do not need me for any runs to them. 8-(

Looking foward to the start of the new NFL and NHL seasons. The Bengals look good again this year. Hopefully they can get past the first round of the playoff's. I think they have enough talent to do this and possibly make it to the Super Bowl!

I am also hoping I do better this year on my free Fantasy Football Leagues than I did last year. I had three teams. One team did not make the playoffs, the second team lost in the first round of the playoffs. The third and best team I had made it all the way to the Super Bowl but lost it. So not a bad year for me If I do say so myself. I'll keep you updated on what my teams are doing.
The Degenerate Wolverines! 2007-2008 Season! Coming Soon!

I am also hoping I do a HELL of a lot better in my Fantasy Hockey League. I had one team and finished dead last after starting off strong(Sounds like my bowling leagues I have been in! LOL!). And speaking of NHL hockey, I hope my NHL team can repeat as Stanley Cup champions again this year. Yep, one of my favorite teams won The Stanley Cup in 2007. That team is the Anahiem Ducks (They dropped the Mighty in 2006 when Disney dropped out as a major contributor.) But they are still MIGHTY to me. Because they won it all this year!!! Yeah!

Updating the Luncheonette

I am here this friday evening updating the Luncheonette with new and exciting things. I hope I am making it worth while for my friends and family to visit. Please feel free to participate in the poll down below to tell me how I am doing. I have just started and would like to know what I need to do to make this a great blog. I appreciate all the input. Thanks again for visiting.
